My friend was telling me that alternate name spelling has been shown to be correlated to level of education. The lower the education, the higher the chance of "alternate" spellings. The sad thing is that 90% of the name mispellings I can think of are from the black community. I would've made that correlation before the former one, and yet we end up with a different problem, which I knew existed, but it is sad nonetheless.
I mean, the most obvious example of these alternate spellings would be to scroll through the depth charts in the NFL.
