Juno

Post by Jaydee »

I went and saw Juno on Saturday night.
I got told it was a movie for girls... making it a chick flick.
But then I heard from some of my older lady friends* and they said it was a teenager movie.
I thought overall that it was well written and Juno talked like a derro at points, but reminded us that she was smart with the things that she did in it. The soundtrack was something I liked a lot. Has anyone bothered with this movie?

It was awesome, by the way. Just hilarious. Ellen Page's delivery was flawless, and the parents (Allison Janney, who I love, and JK Simmons, who was great) stole the rest of the show. And Michael Cera is from my hometown (and apparently still lives there...). Certainly my favourite of last year (just beating out Zodiac).

I loved Zodiac. I took my boyfriend with me and told him it was a comedy. He was squealing in the cinema. Juno came out this year for me... so it's probably this years favourite. My favourite last year was Knocked Up.

Well every one of my friends saw Juno without me so I wont see it until it comes out on video, but they all liked it, so I guess that's good. Best picture of the year was the 3:10 to Yuma remake. Awesomely done.

It was very good. I dislike Russell Crowe in just about everything else I've seen him in (from general irking to full-out annoyance) except this movie. I loved his character, and I thought he played him well. Bale was very good, too, though his accent seemed to wander occasionally. Ben Foster was pretty awesome too, a really interesting character. And Alan Tudyk. Can't go wrong with Alan Tudyk.
The plot was great too. I hadn't seen the original, but the back and forth of the plot, with that fantastic ending was just enthralling.
