I thought everyone should know that I, not Marty, am the champion of this, the greatest game of all time.

What a vivid imagination you have! Out of the 173 matches, you won 2. Of the 30 world championships we played, you won 0. Out of the 1 Practice Championship of the World, you won 1.

I have witnesses plus game logs to prove this, as well as a trail of surprise witnesses a mile long.

At the Santa Monica pier arcade, after watching my friend get pummeled out of quarters because of the lack of the second set of warp pipes, we left dejected and sad until we saw the future of this country.

A small boy, who could be no more than say, seven, and who could barely see to the joystiq (he got on his tip-toes for the hard bits), put in a quarter and promptly ran along the bricks atop 1-2 for the first set of pipes.
We cried tears of adulation and joy for the next generation.
