What are you listening to right now?

Post by Kidd »

First off, this sub-forum should include music in the title, no?

Secondly, I didn't see this anywhere else, so I thought I'd add it. I've seen it done on other forums and it's a nice way to bolster traffic/boost post count/see how terrible everyone's taste in music is.

I'll start it off.

Well...it depends on how often you post what you are listening to...

Its fool-proof. Every time you come in this topic, you almost are assured to post something.

I've been listening a bit to my Christmas playlist. It includes some Trans-Siberian Orchestra, some Sufjan Stevens (who has some great versions) and a bunch of other stuff that isn't crap and cliched Christmas music. Here are a few of my favourite selections.

Little Drum Machine Boy - Beck
Joy to the World - Eef Barzelay
Feliz Navidad - Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers (as they say in the song, break out the tequila and eggnog!)
Christmas is going to the dogs - Eels
Rudolph - Jack Johnson (a very cool re-write)

I thought I'd escape Christmas music by not listening to the radio. Boy, was I wrong!

Glycerine - Bush

I'll admit I started looking for this song, only after hearing the parody of it in a Simpson's episode. It's weird, seeing as I was barely born when it was released, yet it sounded so familiar to me that I had to get it.

Normally I do my best to stay away from it, but working retail doesn't help that much. So I try to measure the crap christmas music with my own good stuff.

you guys suck balls. cheesy, over-the-top christmas music is the best. plus whining about christmas takes away from the whole point of christmas. just put a smile on your face and sing a catchy and repetitive tune.
