It just looks too much like 'Moistvag'. Which has entirely different connotations.

Well the touch of sleaze might help it sell.

They are actually making a fourth season this coming year, it should be out in the US sometime in 2010 apparently.Apocalyptus wrote:There's a third season of the IT Crowd? Why did I not know of this? Australian Broadcasting Corporation, I blame you!

I also heard that they're making an American version of it. With the guy who plays Moss still in it, which gives me some hope that it won't suck.

Richard Ayoadae is quite amazing. His role as Dean Learner is fantastic.

Haha yeah, I did quite enjoy Garth Marengi's Darkplace when it was on TV.
Though my favourite moment of his still has to be when he (as Saboo) asks Kirk 'is it true that you are an erotic adventurer of the most deranged kind?'.
Seeing as I couldn't find a video of it, hopefully this will suffice instead

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of The Mighty Boosh, but that clip was pretty funny. That fellow seems to funny up anything.

My favorite show is on pretty often at night, when most people are asleep.
I forget the name, but it's really cool and it's mostly about this guy who knows my name and tells me to do stuff for him.
Most of the time I do it, because he's really friendly and he says he puts on the show just for me.
The best part is, I don't even have to turn on the T.V. or be in a room with a T.V. for the show to come on.
...
I also like Seinfeld.

Sometimes Jerry comes right off the screen and tells me to murder my family. But he does it in a joking way, like "have you ever noticed the kill everyone you know..."

So, totally digging the Garth Marenghi's Darkplace. There's a real difference between it and the show that pauses for a moment to let viewers catch up to the joke, it gives a very different feeling.

I mentioned it somewhere else, but I love The IT Crowd and Trailer Park Boys. (Although I like the former better.)

Yes, you certainly can't go past a show in which someone's genitals become broccoli.LordRetard wrote:So, totally digging the Garth Marenghi's Darkplace. There's a real difference between it and the show that pauses for a moment to let viewers catch up to the joke, it gives a very different feeling.

Re: Any shows you are particularly fond of?
So I bought Six Feet Under before christmas. Really cool boxset, with 2 OSTs.
Finished it this week. Magnificent show. Just so damned good.
Ended up lending the first few seasons to my sister (after I watched them) to watch during her surgery recovery (and I knew she'd love it, what with her psych major). And then they went on sale at Walmart so I bought them with my discount and gave them to her (she paid me back). Considerably cheaper for her, but without the cool boxset and OSTs (I'm not disappointed, myself).
Anyways, it has provided fodder for some very long conversations. Which really does mark a good show. I love the realism and the characters. Just completely unlike any TV I've ever seen.
Anyways, I've moved on to Dexter. Which is instantly endearing. One episode in and I was already super interested in the show. I'm a few episodes in now and loving it. The first show I've purchased before the run of the show was done (excepting Family Guy, which started again after I bought the first two sets). Which is going to be havoc for keeping up, which I'll want to do.

Re: Any shows you are particularly fond of?
You guys may hate me for this* but I'm addicted to Lost, Heroes, and (I blame my girlfriend for this) several anime shows. These include Full Metal AlChemist, Paranoia Agent, Ouran Host Club, FLCL, Ghost Hound, and Ergo Proxy. I feel like a nerdy pansy for watching such things however I can't deny their appeal.
*Aww hell, who am I kidding? You already hate me!

Oh, I love that show that talks to you sometimes late at night, especially when the guy mentions doing things with fire. It's kind of funny though, he's always told me that I was the only person he made that show for, he never mentioned you. Was he lying? Am I not special??davoid wrote:My favorite show is on pretty often at night, when most people are asleep.
