Still think that Bobby Conn is a porn-star, though I forget the line that made me think that.

Re: Favorite Band
I am going to write those down somewhere and search 'em up. Thank you, fellow prog rock lover.
EDIT: Now that I think about it, Dream Theater sounds very familiar.

Re: Favorite Band
I mostly listen to heavy metal and J-pop. In terms of heavy metal, my favourite band would be something like Faith No More or Sabbath or the Melvins. For Japanese music I pick less favourites, but lately I've been listening to a lot of Round Table.

Wow, a prog lover that has never heard of Dream Theater? I am both shocked and immensely pleased that I have dropped their name for you.FengharTheNord wrote:I am going to write those down somewhere and search 'em up. Thank you, fellow prog rock lover.

Re: Favorite Band
I'm very uninitiated in the musics. My friend introduced me to Genesis and then told me the words "prog rock" and I was like "whaaat" and then he showed me "Yes" and some other crazy ones and I was like "Yes" to "Yes" and the other crazy ones.

Re: Favorite Band
Oh. Well, you're excused then. Genesis and Yes are both awesome, for the record.
Please go download some Dream Theater and Anekdoten, as soon as possible. Or, youtube them (although you probably won't find many good videos for Anekdoten, since they're considerably less well-known).
Edit: While you're at it download some Symphony X (prog metal), Kansas, Electric Light Orchestra, "Emerson, Lake & Palmer", and Moody Blues. (If you haven't already.)

Re: Favorite Band
I could never imagine liking Genesis that much...it's just so poppy and plain...I don't know...I'm more into catchy, poetic stuff, hypnotica, or distinctly alternative rock. I stray far from any one genre, though. So, anyone heard of Voxtrot? They are gorgeous at making music. Go check out Start of Something on playlist.com.

I can always end up going back to Bonnie 'Prince' Billy, probably my most favorite of the moment.
