It's my duty to get people involved in Legacy of Kain

Post by Raziel »

It is (in my humble opinion) the greatest video game series ever. It isn't completed, and it's been in the dusty "to be announced" corner for over half a decade now, but I keep the faith! It has it all: time travel, vampires who don't act like glittery queers (damn you Twilight...), a ridiculously complex plot, puzzles, unexpected plot twists, and new powers being gained throughout the games!

I'd be stabbing the series in the back if I didn't bring it up, so for the love of god go out and buy a million copies of each game so they'll make the last damn game in the series and I can stop wondering!!!!!

Your duty? You have failed. Something about it being 6am, and me being broke, I'm not going to go buy the game.

But good try, I suppose.

The games sell for under $10 each. Shit if you look around you can find Soul Reaver for $3. Don't give me that "I'm broke" excuse lol

Clearly you don't understand the definition of broke.

Also: Does it run on a Mac? Because I bet it doesn't. In which case I'm not going to give up food to have a game I can't play.

lol I don't think it does, but it does run on PS2 and X-Box 360.

Also, I'm an unemployed college student. Believe me when I say, I know what it is to be broke, but that doesn't change my duty to advertise for the series. Have you ever been willing to wait seven years for something that has no guarantee of happening? Trust me, if whoring myself on the street could bring the game I'd be out there gobbling dick as we speak, but unfortunately all that leads to are STD's.

Games that I waited for:
10 years: Fallout 3 (IP changed hands several times, finally released by company that I abhor in a cruel parody of the originals)
12 years and counting: Starcraft 2 (probably going to require system specs that are more than my computer can handle)
13 years and counting: Duke Nukem Forever (is almost certainly in a perpetual development limbo)

Of the three, it was Fallout I wanted the most; I don't think it's physically possible to be more disappointed than I was after playing it.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, be careful what you wish for.

If I had either of these it would be a consideration... or at least I'd be polite in telling you there's no chance. As I have no gaming system what-so-ever I suspect again that this would be a useless purchase. Why don't you make the sequal? That seems more productive than street whoring.*

Sir I bow to you.

I would but I have absolutely no knowledge of programming... (and I just don't feel it's fair to charge for my services).

I actually did play this game for a bit. It seemed all right but it couldn't hold my focus, and I was borrowing it from a friend and he said he wanted it back so.

I played the Soul Reaver demo that came with Crash Bandicoot a long time ago.
Doin' podcasts before they were cool.

LUCKY! Sorry, but that little demo is gold for us Legacy of Kain geeks. Roughly half of Soul Reaver was never completed due to time constraints, so all over the place there's little Easter eggs where they got lazy and went "Eh. Fuck it." and just left in the partially written code. The demo includes a bunch of stuff that was deleted (assuming you know how to get to it).

It's probably still on my original Crash Bandicoot sitting back in Dallas. So I'm sitting on nerd gold and wasn't even aware?

Yes. And I will gladly perform any sexual act you can think of to get it (or just tie you up and take it. Actually the second option is probably a lot easier and much less likely to lead to disease...)

Listen, Raziel, have you ever met a Texan? They're like snakes, you can't tie them up.

Actually I have met a Texan, he's taken to calling me Hank and gets very uncomfortable when I mention sexual acts around him.

Also, given enough duct tape you can tie up anything. Anything.
