Windows Media Player has been glitchy on me as of late, so I was told that Divx is the way to go by my compadres. Unfortunately, while the picture plays beautifully, there is no sound, which is kind of essential.
Does anyone have a suggestion as to what I'm doing wrong here? I'm just trying to play a DVD, it shouldn't be that complicated, but Windows 7 seems to hate anything that wasn't made within the past 6 months or so...

Re: Divx
I would suggest that perhaps you don't have the right codecs.
As a video player, I would have to recommend vlc media player. It's really lightweight and plays almost everything (except realplayer files and some .3gp).

Re: Divx
You were right, wrong codecs (though I still don't know what they are). I downloaded something or another and now it works.Apocalyptus wrote:I would suggest that perhaps you don't have the right codecs.
