The previews have told me nothing about that movie and haven't really made me want to see it, thereby failing their one and only job.

I'm trusting reviewers, also I liked the dark knight and it says the dark knight on the poster so I expect it to be exactly the same.

I don't know who'll play the joker though.

Police said they spent some time working out if they could charge the man with being armed with a weapon, as technically he was armed with part of a fish.

smiley_cow wrote:Movies here are $9.00, with 3D glasses just under $12.00,* which isn't bad, though they charge an arm or leg for popcorn. But I've heard rumours of rat droppings being found in the popcorn machines, so I'm perfectly happy not getting any.

Less popular but critically acclaimed, foreign and Canadian movies at the Evans are $5.00 and popcorn and a drink is another $2.00. It's probably really cheap because they steal one of the theatres at the university to show movies in on weekends but I'm not about to complain.

You guys are paying an awful lot for movies.

*But I don't like 3D movies, so the extra money doesn't really affect me all that much.
I think Ontario is about a dollar more than this. I haven't been to the theatre since Alice in Wonderland, though. Though, I hope to see Inception this weekend or next. I'm also hearing really good things about Predator.

I pay about $12 for regular movies, and $16 for 3D, if I recall correctly.

I pay $9 for regular movies when I'm for some reason forced to go. Usually I just wait for stuff to get to the dollar theater though.

It just makes you reconsider which movies you bother to see in the cinema, and whether or not you'll bother with 3D. I have to put 3D glasses on over my regular (and ridiculously sexually attractive) glasses, so I'm usually not that put out when I choose not to go 3D.

Inception does sound pretty good from what everyone has been saying but I'm trying to ignore that so that when I turn up to the movie I won't be horribly disappointed by having high expectations. Aim for the floor and any improvement will be a bonus after all

See I don't buy that. You don't go into a movie theatre expecting shit, watch it, and go "wow, that was shit, and it met all of my expectations! Excellent!"

If you aren't expecting genius you usually won't have as disappointing a time in a bad movie. However if you expect genius walking into a mediocre movie, you'll enjoy a lot less than if you went in expecting a bad one

I can't stand 3D already. The fact it costs extra is really just insult to injury (and another excuse to avoid it).

Saw this today. For the most part I liked it, but for Toy Story 4, I have two requests:

1. Can there not be an insane Buzz Lightyear? While it is entertaining that each time you have brought about the crazy Buzz in a new and exciting way, I fear it is getting old.

2. Can the toys not just always assume that Woody is lying to them? You've known the guy for at least 15 years, surely by now you have figured out that he really is an OK guy.

Keeping that in mind, over all I thought it was pretty good. Though my favourite of the franchise still remains Buzz Lightyear of Star Command.

I haven't seen that. Pray enlighten me upon its origins.

How can you not love spanish Buzz though? That was just about my favourite part of the entire movie, especially the dancing
