Golden Gaytime? Is that what we're talking about here?

Nice reading that again. Had a lot of fun with it, even if it took me a fair amount of time.

For the sake of his career I hope this one goes better than The Last Airbender did.
For the sake of movies, I hope his career dies.

Just because he has a very narrow style that errs on the side of cliche does not mean his career should die. I quite liked Lady in the Water, and Unbreakable

I like to make fun of him, but he's got 3 good movies at least. My like of Signs has diminished drastically, but I still really like the Village, Sixth Sense and especially Unbreakable. And no matter what you think of his stories, you know it is going to be a pretty film.

Really, I would defend him much more if it weren't for The Happening. Such an awful, awful movie.

The Happening was awful to sit through, but Signs actually made me want to choke somebody right at the end. The Village was okay.
I did like Unbreakable, and Sixth Sense was pretty good, though someone told me the tweest before I watched it. :/
I don't think I'll be seeing the Devil or whatever this new one is, unless I can see it for free, have nothing better to do, and am peer pressured.

This is how I make all my movie-watching decisions.

I watched Speed Racer like eight times because of it.

And the Village too. At least the Village works as a psychological test (though those are generally done through willing participants and through people who have ethics. The characters in the movie lacked both those and the twist at the end made it all the worse). This movie looks like the same thing just in a worse way. If the devil turns out to be some jerk I think M Night Shymalan will no longer be asked to make movies

Not even remotely true. Guess what? We are talking about the movie. That alone is enough for them to keep bankrolling his movies. They might dial back the budgets, but that's as far as it'll go.

To be fair, Speed Racer is a fun movie to watch.

It is one of my favourite movies.

But, be careful, because I said the same thing after I watched "It's THE HAPPENING and it's THE HAPPENING right now! Watch out little girl you're about to get THE HAPPENING'ed!"

And now look where we are.

Maybe someone will just shoot him? Guns are great at problem solving. Gordon Freeman taught me this.
