Sherlock Holmes

Post by Tundra »

omg I have found a new favourite show. New BBC tv, Sherlock Holmes. Based on the original stories but set in modern times (as in, no, it's not Sherlock's great great grandson, it's the stories set in modern times and far less Victorian). It's like Doctor Who but with less aliens and more murders and an equal amount of running and weirdness. :p
So. Good.
here's a trailer.

A lot of people have been talking about this lately. It makes me wish I lived in England.

Yeah, I keep on hearing about it too. Should be showing here in the next few months I think, but it depends which channel buys it.

I hope I didn't accidentally repeat a thread that's already on smbc.

I love that they kept him the drug addict that he was in the books! :D Though in the first episode so far we've just seen him wearing three nicotine patches, and the police did a drug bust but found nothing.

There's a streaming link that I watched it on. It's not on tv here yet.

I wrote some fiction based on the 22nd century show. However my teacher had not seen the original source material and it fell flat.

Anyway, I watched the Sherlock and I have decided to become a detective.

I am now hoping against hope that it meanders its way here soon. My life is so empty now that the dr who season is over

It is so far away and my real life love life can't even begin to match up to the fantasy one I have with Dr Who

You could watch some of the old ones, if you haven't already. Especially 'The Key to Time' (Season 16) is pretty much essential if you're a Doctor Who fan.

Screams could be heard across the world when they realised that they loved the show Sherlock but that the last episode (episode 3) for the season (they had to wait to see what people would think of it) is on a massive cliffhanger. :(

Well they're in talks at the moment. I'm hoping they'll recast everyone and they'll swap roles.

It's like doctor who with different actors and more homo-erotic than Stephen Moffat's Who*.

*Nothing could be more homo-erotic than Russel T Davis' Who.
