plus they come out with new ones every 4 or 5 years that aren't backwards compatible.

A modern PC is hardly more advanced than you kids' standard NES or Tamagotchi.

Pretty sure you've got that backwards there, chief.
dudeofea wrote:Computers are having trouble producing cheap quality graphics
What do you mean by this?
dudeofea wrote:(also they lack cheap controllers)
Okay now I am certain you don't live in the same universe I do.
Well Computers are gaming consoles and vice versa.
By the graphics I meant that the GPU chips are more powerful in gaming consoles than in most computers.
And by controllers I meant actual buttons and joysticks, not keyboards and mice.

No, I'm pretty sure most graphics cards today can run at a resolution greater than 1920*1080. You know, that wacky resolution people call FULL HD OMG

Ten minutes of research shows that this is blatantly false. Yes, it is true that I cannot afford such things, but that is because I am dirt fucking poor. I managed to find an arcade fightstick, a regular gamepad, and a regular joystick with a combined price of about ten dollars more than a wireless XBox 360 controller with a play and charge pack.

Plus who in the HELL would use a controller unless they were playing old shittily playstation ports like silent hill. The reason computer gaming is superior is because the mouse/keyboard combo is so quick and responsive that no gamepad can keep up. Fuck you and your joysticks I got a trackball and I will twitchkill the fuck out of you.

That being said if we are slowly delving into a PC vs Console debate I would like to say

The 360 has Dead Rising and the computer doesn't. Also Red Dead Redemption but rockstar will eventually make a port like they always do.
But dead rising alone makes consoles worth their weight.

I'm supposed to research? :[]

I admit i'm wrong. But when I first posted that I was comparing PCs to This Advanced Piece of Technology

I mean it has 3D effects and a 20Mhz Processor.

For the record, the whole time I've been following this thread, I've been comparing PCs to This Advanced Piece of Technology.

You know what I like? That I can be a smug PS3 owner with my free online. I don't have to pay the price of a full game per-year to use internet I already pay for.
