I don't really understand how this comic is facile. Yes it is superficial, but most humor is. But I don't see what deeper level of complexity and understanding Zach should have addressed here. Maybe this word doesn't mean exactly what you think it does?

I don't know about your experience, but all the shower drains in the all houses I have lived have some kind of strainer grate over them. While the size of my member is not anything to brag about, I believe I would find it at the very least incredibly uncomfortable if not physically impossible to do the ole in-and-out with my shower drain.
