And it only refers to what someone experiences prior to their actual period. I suspect that cramps are actually quite a bit more common than just five percent.
Hmm, well all girls are bitches, so everyone was probably PMSing all the time. : D

Minus the blood, migraines can be far worse. Some migraines can get so bad that they could require hospitalization and heavy narcotics.

I get pansy migraines, they'd make a hospitalised person laugh. But I still get them, and I get them a lot. So maybe that's the trade off? Yay.

I know a woman whose period cramps were bad enough that she attempted suicide. I know others who are completely incapacitated during their periods. Not say one is or isn't worse than the other, but if we're looking at extreme examples, they can both be bad.

I've had migraines where I've gone blind, where I've thrown up and where I've been otherwise entirely incapacitated from the pain, and I didn't even have my period.

EDIT: My mother and one of my brothers get pretty heavy migraines too. I don't know if it's genetic or what, although I haven't had a serious migraine for years. I've had a few recently where my eye hurt enough that I couldn't keep it open but that wasn't nearly as bad as before. If I can still do anything except use one of my eyes then it's not really a handicap by any means.

I was keeping track of my mom's cycles before I ever even knew what I was tracking. I don't know if that's weird or not but it just made everything so much easier if I knew when to make myself unseen. She's kind of a psychotic vehicle of aggression when she's in pain in general, so it wasn't all that unique a situation.

Don't be ridiculous. I've learned so much from overhearing people talk around the subject when they don't think the kids are listening. You can't even buy that level of educational value.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's weird. Just letting you know.

Were you pregnant?

At first, I thought that said "incarcerated,” and I was a little confused. Just thought you should know!

Why would you be confused? Smiley has a lot of criminal friends. It follows that if they are in jail, they are completely incarcerated during their periods as well. What do you want, menstruating criminals roaming the streets?

You Liberals and your agenda.
