I'm happy you made this thread.

It means my comic discussion threads are no longer the worst on the site.

Good comic, and always like to see antiquity get some love, but one nit to pick: Croesus was king of Lydia--i.e., not Greek.

I am all in favor of not splitting hairs over historical accuracy in a comic, but you know, that seems like something Zach should have gotten right.

Also, Cyrus was a mule because he was half Mede, half Persian, not half Greek. But never mind. Good strip.

Well, one man's Mede is another man's Persian.

This is the spookiest comic ever. I've been listening to an Introduction to Ancient Greek History, and the very morning this comic was published, the lecture covered the Delphic oracle, and particularly the prediction that if Croesus crossed the river, a great empire would fall. Weird stuff going on in the cosmotic synchronia just now.

Yup, it is called a coincidence. Happens all the time, actually.
