I'm currently studying economics, and this comic made me realize how few of my professors actually have beards! I can't think of a single one!! That said, I see it as my responsibility to grow a beard before finishing my studies.

On the reason behind the beardlessness of economists, I have a theory: I'm not a biologist, but is it possible that beard growth is naturally stunted on those genetically most likely to study economics? To me it seems most economists don't even have the option to grow a full, manly beard (myself included), even if they had the desire.

Any views on the matter, or tips on beard growth?

Honestly, I was surprised it was an economist. Was half expecting it to be a libertarian, with a crowd cheering for his decision at the end.

Last time the Mona Lisa was appraised for insurance reasons it was valued at a cool 100.000.000 dollars, but that was way back in 1962 so inflation brings it yo something like 750.000.000. So in a roundabout totally not even in the ballpark estimate the mona lisa is worth the entire life force of 26.000 starving african children.
