That happened to me all the time and I always wondered why!

... thanks for the scientific answer! :)

I was wondering if this was going to have an original punchline or not. I still like this one better though.

I really dislike those "Reddit" comics. They're like a stereotype of bad comedians in comic form.

Pretty sure in any Euclidean space, rotating by 180 degrees twice returns you to the original configuration. It's not just 4-space, we're dealing with alien geometries.

Aww do our tastes not match exactly? And did the point of the almost identical comic slip past you? That's okay, I'm sure you'll get over it eventually.

It also could prove that the USB cables are 1/2 spin particles. That means you need 360 degree spin, to bring it to the state with the opposite quantum phase.

Well, it shows that the USB couplers are spin 1/2 particles. The interesting bit (no pun intended) is that two spin 1/2 particles terminate a cable or "string", meaning that the "string" inherits unique properties, such as twisting the end only twists the "string" half as much. This could lead to new insights in the theory of "strings", or perhaps a unified theory explaining why the USB type string can have so many different coupler types. It is hoped this will fall out of such a theory, as opposed to having to tune the theory to explain this.

4D space is still 360° per rotation. USB cable symmetry clearly belongs to SU2.

You didn't get the idea for that joke from here, did you?

It's not even very long. Shame on you. Also you know, considering that was linked in the very second post.

It's not a reddit post, it's a rage comic. Or a fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu7 comic since they don't even rage.

Yeah it's not quite an original comic. OH HEY MY FORK DOESN'T WORK WITH SOUP.

A fork does too work with soup. I don't know what kind of strange soup you've been eating.

He wasn't linking the same thing. The first person linked the comic that Zach apparently built on, shedding light on the fact that Zach probably did not originate this idea. This person linked an actual comment on the thread that shows that Zach may very well have stolen this idea completely from that comment, which is disappointing and completely different from the second post on this thread. I'm a bit sad that Zach did this, especially only a few days after the cat strip, where he explicitly noted his concern that he might be reposting a joke that's been done and suggested that he looks up his jokes to make sure people have not beat him to it.

I reckon he can be forgiven for not reading every thread that replies to every internet meme ever. Seriously. That's the sort of thing people with no life do. >_>
