For the rest of my life I shall be a little bit sadder. Colours wont seem as brights. Bears will seem less afraid of me.

There's not much to get. Maybe you should explain which bit you don't get.

Do you not understand the concept of a retractable beard?
Do you not understand why there is a bear there?
Or perhaps you do not understand what a bear is?

The funny part is there's a bear and he scares the bear with a beard which he produced on short notice which is implied to be manly which is meant to incite jealousy in men and women alike (unless if zach made a sexist comic????)

It's not a difficult comic to understand. Beards are a sign of manliness. The bigger the beard the more manly the ... man. This guy can turn his manliness up to eleven on command. Any self-respecting man would desire such an ability.
