What are you talking about? Letting a serial killer know that his target, who is relying on you for protection, is currently holed up in your house because it's always unethical to hold the truth from anyone, is a PERFECTLY reasonable and not at all assholish thing to do.
Anyway, as much as I agree with your "jump off a cliff" solution, I think it needs an added touch of irony. Say, jumping off a bridge into the path of a runaway trolley.
