[2012-Sep-06] Every child is named Susie

I can't even work out when I'm supposed to laugh

I think at the end? Or one panel before the end?

Faceless

This is how I felt about the auto-flush comic. I laughed more at the OrientBrides.com advertisement on the side.

I actually just made this account to point out that there seems to be a lot of complaining about the lack of quality in Zach's work for this being a kind of fan community forum. Just thought it is interesting, it would be like frequenting an establishment to consistently complain about their lack of quality service lol, kind of your fault to keep coming back.

On another note, I enjoy the comic very much and find my self habitually checking back (SMBC has been on my top pages in my browser for months). Zach I like your XKCD style intellectual comics with some Cyanide and Happiness Dark and silly thrown in to create something completely different and unique.

As for this comic, I think it is pretty damn funny lol. I've always been weirded out by demon/possessed/undead girl since the exorcist, something about that innocence turned inside out and coming at you, love the take on it.

I think our problem is that most of us were already fans of SMBC comics around 4 or 5 years ago when it was still all about delivering fantastic one-liner style humour, and then we watched those comics transform into a monster pandering to horrible, horrible people like you who are so obsessed with showing off their apparent intellect, instead of actually trying to be funny.

Since when is chemistry not a science?

I wonder what movie is on in the first panel.
(I've seen a movie with almost exactly this scene the day before yesterday, so I'm really scared now ;)

Maybe Zach watched it as well. "Oooh there's an intellect-demanding comic in this!"

This combined with the fact that I may not still be a fan of the comic but I am still a fan of the forum.

Obviously people have never met children.
children are little psychopaths who scream bloody murder to get what they want.

Man, I hate kids.

Good example at work actually, made me think of this cartoon.

Work at restaurant, have a Krishna statue with detactable HEAVY metal flute (Bout a foot long).
Toddler/young kid has baby sister, strokes her hair, parents: Awww.
Adults turn away to talk for a moment. (+5 Shadow Points if you see where this is going).
Kid removes flute and goes to hit the baby in the skull.
I snap to and remove it.
"I'll just take that."
Parents ignore whole thing.

Oh yes, your one unsubstantiated example has just proven you entirely right about all children everywhere!

I personally have come less and less as the comics become more and more preachy. I read webcomics as a short break in a day for some humor, not to be preached at about religion, gay rights, etc.
