Suddenly this guy seems a lot less crazy.

I'd like to think that all the dads in SMBC are like this because Zac's father was like this and he actually led a horrible and traumatic childhood that involved him having misconceptions about the world purposefully planted in his brain so that he would be unable to function in society so that his father could feel the pleasure of someone else feeling his pain

But everybody DOES have misconceptions about the world planted in their head as a child.
