no new comic today is zach all right

It's out now. Weak punchline and doesn't flow well either like it's missing panels. It starts to go to shit when the guy begins a monologue about the flaws of mass surveillance and it devolves in to some insubstantial rambling to which the robot does not acknowledge but confirms he is hiding something. Then in a totally unexpected wacky turn of events our protagonist reveals that he had in fact been recording their "conversation" the entire time which robot claims invades his privacy. The entirety of the joke being that the robot was unaware of his hypocrisy.

Honestly this might be the worst smcb I have ever read.

I think it was a drone not a robot

I wouldn't say this is the worst SMBC, or even the most preachy, but it is poor quality and Zach is seriously soap boxing here. This is aside from the issues with the argument in the first place.

Last panel is meh (aside from the so-so joke, there's no reason for the guy to record the conversation, or for the drone to care about that at all since the "conversation" isn't incriminating), but I really liked how the drone reacts to the guy's rant.

Also, I like how he made the drone cute. With a different punchline, it could have been a good comic...
