True story. Back in grad school, we were looking through the executables on Mac OS 8, and we found the string:

"Help! I'm trapped in a system software factory!"

Clearly, bad data references have resulted in memory corruption while running process "Evolution", inadvertently resulting in a Python interpreter than can parse C++-style single-line comments without a hard failure. There are likely other, as-yet unnoticed consequences...
