ex·san·gui·nate
/ikˈsaNGɡwəˌnāt/
verb
drain (a person, animal, or organ) of blood.
"carotid and jugular vessels were cut to exsanguinate the heart"
Honestly, he makes an entire comic every time he learns a new word just to make us look it up and learn it too.
Edit: and sometimes it's more explicit than others

Re: [2019-09-07] Summertime
To be fair, I've done my share of running around British woodland, and never even seen a tick.
I know Britain has them, just never encountered one.
And our stinging nettles sound way nicer than American poison ivy.
American friends have enlightened me, that over there, everything is trying to kill you - Australia Lite.

Never remove ticks with tweezers. A special tiny fork, or a thread loop is in order, so that the tick won't regurgitate into your flesh and increase the risk of transmitting borrelia and giving you the Lyme disease.

I'm guessing that the actual best advice is to go to a doctor or nurse. But yeah, if you're the kind of person who just refuses to do that and prefer to do everything yourself - keep this in mind...tentacle wrote:Never remove ticks with tweezers.
