Rorshach is an interesting character, that is for sure.
He's built an identity around the idea that humanity is generally evil, and he bears that weight on his shoulders.
And because it is part of his identity he can't exactly lose it.
Plus I would say he believes it is part of the human condition.
And frankly I agree, and I think things would eventually revert. It might give the world a breather, but it wouldn't last.
And Rorshach seems to have believed that annihalation was the best thing for the world (and himself, to a degree).
It certainly gets you thinking.

Please no more spoilers. It turns out I'm watching it tonight with my friends as a spur of the moment thing. Feel free to spoil after that happens.

you do realize that i've read the novel three times right? I have yet to see the movie, but i was more concerned about people putting out spoilers right before the film came out (since i figured many people had not read the novel and wanted it to be a surprise). I figure with the film being out for over a week already, most anything is fair game now.

I think it's kind of hard to spoil something with a plot that has been around for 20 years. That's just my opinion though. The ending is different, sure. But it isn't that different.

I think it's different when something comes to a different medium. especially book to movie/TV. For example, if somebody had spoiled the ending to No Country for Old Men for me before I had seen the movie (since i haven't read the book), I'd have been pretty pissed off. I realize that the material has been around for years, but I still consider it a spoiler if somebody told me how it ended.

I uploaded the book in case anyone wants it: http://depositfiles.com/files/2fz2wvs3m

Sometimes the images are different sizes, but it's otherwise great quality.
