I thought that the idea was that you're not supposed to be fighting; well, you will be, but you're not supposed to go around killing everyone. That's what I got from it.

Ohh that's clever, my group has never managed that. We can spend an entire session on a fight and usually have a couple of arguments. It's exciting.

If you're playing, you can come up with a character and learn as you go, probably... This sort of game is very informal until there's the supposed "chance of failure". That's when rules come in.
