I count the first connection of ARPAnet to be the beginning of the Internet, so that makes you in your mid to late forties.

Well since that was mostly defense (and possibly universities) and considered a pre-cursor for the internet, not actually the internet I'm not counting that. In fact my general idea of the internet is when it became available for the public, i.e. normal computer nerds at home, rather than uber well payed people at universities and in government jobs.

We procured the internet in our humble abode in about 1990. Just FYI.

If you can call the early internet 'cultural'... I know my first encounter with it was in primary school in library class where they sat us all down around a computer, and with boolean search phrases uncovered the M&M's webpage for us. Life-enriching stuff!
