Happy Bucks [2011-May-20]
Can money buy happiness? Or specifically, can Happy Bucks buy happiness?
Happy Bucks remind me of Disney Dollars. In the idea of spending money on thrill rides, yes they can make you happy. But I think it really depends on the amount of money you have. The less you have, the less value I think you would get from exchanging money, since you would expect to get more value out of it. I think, if you spend money on Jet Skis, but not on food, then you would get guilt (instead of Gelt). Getting money is all about the ability to spend on anything. If you have a lot of it, and spend a fraction for something that makes you happy, then there will be far less shame/guilt. So money can buy you happiness if you are rich, but money won't buy you happiness if you are poor.
The great thing about Happy Bucks is that they are guaranteed to make you happy. When spending cash on something, there is a real risk on whether you would get a happy value from it. So if you are a millionaire, ten thousand happy bucks sounds like a pretty good deal! ...unless it actually is a scam.
---
Also, I'd love to see somebody print them out and try to use them on someone. ha ha.

Pretty sure you were supposed to put it in the new section instead of here.

Money won't make you happy, but not having money will make you unhappy .

The phrase is used to keep the poors from revolting. Damn them for wanting a better life.

Soooo... Is Zach a brony or is it just a coincidence that the happy buck just happens to match Fluttershy's colors?
Re: Happy Bucks [2011-May-20]
Previous poster beat me to it. I too made an immediate connection between the small "Yay" and Fluttershy's memorable exclamation.

There is no national standard for happy bucks. Time to mint my own.

Of course money can buy happiness. It costs about sixty bucks a month and they call it a "Broadband Connection".
Paranoid? Probably. But just because you're paranoid doesn't mean that there isn't an invisible demon
about to eat your face.

I heard somewhere Canadians on average pay more for Internet than anyone else. And by a fair margin.
