You think that's bad, you should have been there the time Achilles downloaded 2500 Trojans.

Clever.
I think Zach has some misconceptions about how a spear works.

Police said they spent some time working out if they could charge the man with being armed with a weapon, as technically he was armed with part of a fish.

I think you could cleave someone's head off with a spear, there's quite a lot of leverage so you could get it quite fast.
Re: [2012-July-10] Achilles' Hell
Not all spears are meant for piercing. Leaf-blade spears, snake spears, yaris... there are a lot of spears that can be used for slashing. It's my understanding that spears for throwing and phalanx formation are piercers, but actual fighting spears tend to be able to be used for slashing.Oldrac the Chitinous wrote:Clever.

Note that I said tend to be. I'm not saying this is absolutely true, just that this seems to be the case from what I've seen.
Also, an Achilles joke without mention of his heel? Now that is original!

I guess his achille's heel was more of an achille's hell as in office hell
Re: [2012-July-10] Achilles' Hell
The comments in this short thread are already funnier than the original comic. But what else is new?

Agamemnon stole it from Achillesmajadirks wrote:But ... but ... but ... that's Agamemnon's line! (Iliad book 1, lines 29-31)
This is also one of the funniest smbcs in a while, though I studied the Iliad at A level which may help it.
Fuck the guy who didn't like it.

Jason said the comments were funnier than the comic, but I think that's just because we're so funny that the comic would find it very difficult to beat us.
