It's depressing how many Anglo Australians feel that they are qualified to speak on this issue, in addition to the disproportionate rate of incarceration as well as deaths in custody of Indigenous Australians in our own backyard.
I really should break the habit of reading facebook comments on news articles, it's getting too depressing and infuriating.

To quote your acronym, I know a SJW who I once thought had a pretty decent argument and good head on his shoulders. He even does public speaking at highschools and helps run a youth drop-in centre in a near-by (ish) suburb of Toronto. I can not even express how low my opinion of him dropped once he started posting (or, as he might say, 'teaching', though I can't even bring myself to admonish his attempts) comments on news stories. Damn you FB for publishing his comments in my Newsfeed and thus significantly lowering my opinion of what I once called my 'older brother'.

Yikes, facebook news comments do seem to have a special ability to just bring out the most disgusting parts of people's personalities.

I guess Ali's dominance in the boxing ring and his post-career surge in popularity really took a hold on this generation.

So they got to scamper off to Paris leaving behind the crane to wreck the neighbor's apartment? Where's the accountability?!

The current story being reported is that an officer was checking on a gas station and approached two males. One aimed at an a gun at the officer and the officer fired several shots, killing him. Supposedly the police have the gun.

Belmar said the officer was given a body camera at the start of his shift but for whatever reason, hadn't put it on. The officer, in a debriefing with police, indicated he was doing something else when the body camera was handed to him at roll call.
and the video released by the police is from the farthest possible security camera and ends before the shooting even beginsThe car's dash-camera was not activated.
why are these police allergic to sunshine

I watched the security camera footage in my phone, so not the best. But that was pretty terrible and probably useless footage.
