Another name.

Post by Simon. »

This time for a cocktail, rather than a crab*. There's a competition at work, where all of us on the bar get to make a cocktail, and have a certain night to sell it, and the person who sells the most gets their cocktail on the next menu, with our name next to it. I'm going with this-

30ml butterscotch schnapps
15ml Creme de cacao
30ml cream
milk
shake
served in highball glass.

So essentially it's a butterscotch tasting milk drink. And yes we're only allowed 45ml of alcohol, so it can't have any extra. Anyway I need a name for it. I was considering something "beatles song" ish, like "Butterscotch lane" Or something like that. But it's not the best. Thoughts?

*Still haven't decided on the crab though.

The Creamy Steve.

But, in all seriousness, think you could pop up a picture of this drink? Might be able to give it a better name if I knew what it looked like.

Nah not really, I'd need to make one for that. However it's in this kind of glass, only it's like a whitish milk drink. I thought that kind of glass was a highball glass, but according to a google image search, every other kind of glass is a highball glass. But not that one. In fact I can't find what that kind of glass is called, wikipedia came up empty after a quick search, and the only reason I found that picture was because I typed "highball glas" into google by mistake. Huh. Yet we have a million* at work.

*20, maybe?

Hmm... well I'm pretty sure I got it now.

The Ghost of Creamy Steve

Also, the "The" is not optional. As in: "Two The Ghost of Creamy Steves for me and the lady good sir."

That IS a cool name, but I actually do want to sell these, and I might need a real-ish name for it then. Buttersmelt comes to mind. Maybe just "Butterball - For those of us who aren't fatties" I DON'T KNOW SOMETHING ABOUT BUTTER AH FUCK.

Fuck it I'll call it the Ghost of Creamy Steve. Unless someone else comes up with something better.

Is it served on ice?
Because "Butterscotch on the Rocks" has a kind of ring to it, I think.

Adding an "S" to the front of a word makes it sound dirty.
