And then they upgrade their account, start putting ads up, and then the next time you visit, you are making them money! Bad idea. Just ignore them.cheez.wiz wrote:Because it'd hopefully run their bandwith down?*Lethal Interjection wrote:Why would I want to give a bunch of ignorant racists a bunch of web traffic?

I think I see where you're going with this.Sahan wrote:do you require a regular number of viewers (and hence advertisers) to keep the site running without loss?
You're thinking a sudden drop in the number of hits would cause cessation of profitability, and thus will cause the site to fold. Sadly, with advertiser's backing, the site is more likely to attract further outrage, and thus hits. Whole new generations of people, desperately cuddling their "this site is terrible" signs as they click will inadvertantly bring about the continuation of said site.
As a further consideration, why attempt to attack these people? You don't share their views? Neither do I. But I don't think that gives me the right to force them off the interwebz.

Nah, I've given up now. I have bigger things on my plate at the moment, like year 12. I'm all in for the pony/unicorn/zebra ice cream cake, though.GreenCrayon wrote:I think I see where you're going with this.Sahan wrote:do you require a regular number of viewers (and hence advertisers) to keep the site running without loss?
