Registered bots

Has anyone noticed how this forum has registered users with names such Google (bot), MSN (bot) and Yahoo (bot)? So yeah, what's up with that?
I'm trying to get a coversation going here, before the forum dies again

Yeah it sure seemed to be on a fast track to death. I mean I would save it, being a lifeguard and all, but I'm not being paid...so yeah.

They probably take keywords from our posts so they can advertise to us and stuff.

I've seen them bots around before. Google bot is a popular one actually.

It has no negative effects on my computer, but I die a little everytime I see that overused gif.
