What games do you fancy?
I see alot of topics about discussions on individual games themselves, but I don't see any general game discussions.
What games do you own, play, rent, download illegally, etc?
What mediums and platforms do you own or frequently use?
What sort of genre catches your eye?

I had to delete Civ IV from my computer because it nearly killed me. I didn't want to delete it, even then, but I had to. I HAD TO.

Re: What games do you fancy?
does internet porn count as a game? Oh, well I guess TF2 then for the most part with some Rock Band, Bioshock, Age of Empires II, and generic Wii games thrown in

Japan has an abundance of sex games apparently. Be careful what threads you click on when visiting an anime fan site.ruotwocone wrote:does internet porn count as a game? Oh, well I guess TF2 then for the most part with some Rock Band, Bioshock, Age of Empires II, and generic Wii games thrown in
Things that never should happen in real life. They were all over the place.help me...
I got myself a wii, gamecube, and nintendo 64. I'd have to say the smash bros series, pokemon series, golden sun series, and Harvest Moon 64 are my all time favorites. I'm not against games with violent murder, but I have younger siblings to protect. A person such as myself, able to make distinctions between reality and fantasy, can play these games without having my mind warped. Younger minds are more impressionable. I don't buy the crap that violent video games ruin the youth, but it can be a bad influence.

Re: What games do you fancy?
I don't own much because I neither have a console nor a up-to-date computer (though, I am buying a new one at the end of this month!).
Mostly I play Madden and NHL in whatever incarnation I can get. Currently NHL09 and Madden07 (before that 08 and 09 respectively).
Other than that, a little GTA4, Halo 3 and a few others. I played some of the newest Need for Speed the other day, which was pretty cool. And I'll probably play some more Little Big Planet tomorrow or the next day at my old place.

I have a N64, PS2, XBOX, Gamecube, and of course the good ol' PC. I don't consider myself a "gamer" though, mostly due to money restraints. That being said my favorite games are God of War 2, Goldeneye, The SSB series, The R&C series, Audiosurf, and Pocket Tanks.

Re: What games do you fancy?
Ouch. I got my brother sucked into the Golden Sun series. There is a password function to transfer your data fro mthe first to second game. unfortunately, this involves a code 260 characters long using numbers, symbols, capital and lower case letters. All of them need to be entered exactly as shown. It took the greater part of a day to get it right. We got it right once, but he dropped the game and we had to do it again. It's an hour each time we do the password right.

I said it already somewhere, but let's repeat for all the viewers...
Puzzle Pirate.
A MMO based on puzzles (diamond mine, Dr Mario and Super puzzle fighter amongst the better known) where the entire economy, and political play is led by players (some interventionnism occurs aswell in case of broken stuff, but mostly anything goes). I love how your puzzling and personnality totally gives life to your avatar, instead of being based on the hours you spent grinding.
http://www.puzzlepirates.com/
It shall be noted that the servers have distinct culture, depending on their degree of player access (not all island are open to be held by players, to avoid total economy screw ups, whether volunteer or accidental... The percentage of openness is roughly proportionnate to the size of the player base mixed with the age of the ocean(server))
If you get around to check it, and like it a bit, let me know, my crews are always in search of talents.

Interesting. I had seen some about this game and thought it looked kind of stupid. Your description does give it some merit. Perhaps I will check it out over my vacation.cheez.wiz wrote:I said it already somewhere, but let's repeat for all the viewers...

Re: What games do you fancy?
I'll admit most of what I play is WoW(world of never getting my life back), though I used to do MUDs back in the before time days. I also have a xbox/ps3/wii that get some use though more out of my fiance then me. Dawn of War, Mass Effect, Minesweeper, Diablo, Masters of Orion2(3 frelling bit), Heros Of MnM series, Dawn of War, TF2-recently and I suck since its my first shooter (Does the server still work? Would love to play againist people I have something in common with for my death fest at least.).
Best games (at least to me) are Console: Link to the Past/Maybe Chrono Trigger, I get torn. Computer: Master of Magic. Yeah I know I like it far to old school but I'd still rather play those games most of the time then a lot of the newer stuff thats coming out. If I could only get MoM to run on my computer..
I also do pen and paper games like Dungeons and Dragons or World of Darkness. Some CCGs though I've mostly kicked the habit, and "normal" cards, though that I need a new play group for. Board games, especially train games like Empire Builder. Larped once... I was at a con, these things happen.

I played Puzzle Pirates for a while, but stopped for so long now that my character got deleted. Seeing as I have my long break now before uni, I might try it again, ol' cheezy.

I used to game all the time, WOW and XBOX360 took up almost all of my time. Now I am poor and can no longer afford the monthly fees, and it kind of makes me sick when I think about how much money I've pissed away through online fees to play games.
If I game at all, I play that Audiosurf game on Steam.

Re: What games do you fancy?
I've made 2 trial accounts for the City of Heroes game. It's a cool concept, but not enough for me to spend 15 dollars a month on. Seriously.
I played the online game Runescape for a while. It's gotten pretty popular, and they seem to be making a preety penny in profits now. I was level 97 out of 126, although they finally sold out and expanded to 138. I don't play it anymore, but I refuse to let anyone play it.
And it's sad when I hear ten year old speaking about it, and not only know what they're talking about, but would kick their butts. Something to brag about, huh?

Re: What games do you fancy?
I've had a recent hankering for PSX games, I dug out my old box and levered open the lid. Lo and behold, it still works!
So I had a Hogs of War marathon, then some Legend of Dragoon, Carmageddon, so on and so forth.
