Like how nintendo fanboys are wrong about Metal Gear being the first Metal Gear Solid game, right?
Incidentally, the handheld wasn't all that and a bag of potatoe chips. If they put it on the N64, Nintendo would have had another winning franchise by now, and Playstation would have died out, seeing as it's one of the few games worth getting.

No...the very first Fallout was, get this, Fallout. The original Fallout was heavily based upon that, but you can't call that the original Fallout.
Technically true. But if it were not for Wasteland, Fallout would not be the same.
Wikipedia wrote:Wasteland was followed in 1990 by a less-successful intended sequel, Fountain of Dreams, set in post-war Florida. Electronic Arts got cold feet at the last moment, and did not advertise it as a sequel to Wasteland; in fact, none of the creative cast from Wasteland worked on Fountain of Dreams. Interplay has described its game Fallout as the spiritual successor to Wasteland (as evidenced by the similar setting and that an NPC in Fallout 2 frequently recites combat messages from Wasteland).

I don't think Playstation would die out if they lost MGS.

Yeah...

PlayStation 2 was the highest selling console for like, ever and it wasn't for just Metal Gear Solid. It was for maybe umm Silent Hill 1 and 2 and 3, Iko, God of War, Resident Evil, Shadow of the Collosus, Monster Hunter- the list goes on. There were tooooonnnnssss of smash hits on the PS2 that weren't MGS. In fact, I believe it still has the highest sales record of any console and even if it doesn't, it was still competing well into the "Next Gen" console era with tons of games.

Grand Theft Auto was a big hit for the PS2. Actually I believe it sold the most PS2s out of any game bundled with one.

Completely forgot about that game, too. Hhhuuuuuggge hit.

When it came out I wanted to play it so badly but my MOMMY WOULDN'T LET ME!!! I downloaded a buggy italian version off of limewire, as well as Vice City- which was a nice version aside from the fact that it had no sound.

The Elder Scrolls game effin rule. Particularly Oblivion. Whenever I bought my PS3 it was the 3rd game I bought (after Metal Gear Solid 4 and Assassin's Creed, both of which I highly recommend), and to this day I will still play it. There's just so much to do. Fallout 3 is a great game too, although I haven't played any of the others. Bethesda Studios do really great work all around, I think.

Fuck the X-Box and to a lesser extent Nintendo. Sony is where it's at.

Yes, because I'm so embarrassing. ;)

As an owner of a Wii and Gamecube, I think I have the right to say that Nintendo just isn't producing many spectacular titles anymore. I mean sure the Gamecube had plenty of great gems, but the Wii just really isn't doing it for me.

And I've just never been a fan of the X-Box. I sure do wish that there was a PS3 port for both Fable and Left 4 Dead though.

Or you could play the easily superior PC versions of both L4D and Oblivion.

I gladly would if my PC wasn't slightly dated and could fully appreciate it. I have a hard enough time playing Team Fortress 2, so I'm not sure how it would handle Left 4 Dead.

Nintendo isn't producing anything semi-decent anymore, and I'm a nintendo console fanboy.

Monster Hunter 3 is coming out on the Wii which is total BS. The developers should stop being lazy and put it out on the ps3 for "teh superior graphix". But w/e. Underwater battles are gonna be tits.

But yeah, the Wii pretty much sucks for the hardcore gamer market. It's a really fun family console though, which is why it tops the sales of the ps3 and xbox 360.

Wii graphics are atrocious. Or at least developers are making them look that way.

But beyond all of Nintendo's recent shortcomings I will always have a place in my heart for Super Smash Bros.

Also Bioshock, anyone?

I cannot wait for 2! It looks ridonculously awesome.

The only thing is that I hope the end battle is better. It sorta brought the game down a an awesomeness notch for me to have to fight a guy who was easier than a big daddy. Other than that- Awesome twist, awesome story, awesome gameplay(Aside from the no-dying part- it makes it a bit too easy).
