My review of Infinite Undiscoverey.

Post by HARDKORE »

This is a good RPG game for the 360. This is on par with star ocean. Its also made my square enyx and tri ace. You play as Capell. A flute player who is rescued from prison by princess Aya. You set out on your adventure at liberate the mood which is being chained down by the bad guys. He uses a sword like most RPG characters. She uses a bow. Note this game came out before star ocean so you can see a lot of stuff that are the same in the two games. This is the first game I have ever played with a bear in my party. He takes up two party spots so I don’t use him much.

Graphics

This game has good graphics. Better then star oceans. It has 1080i graphics but I played I in 720p the last time I played it.

Add-ons

The game has two add-ons. You can get vouchers to get items used in the creation process. They are both free and come in handy when you want to make killer swords

Game play

Like star ocean, you beat this on level and it unlocks a harder one. I am on level 3 of 4 but its to boring to play anymore. This does not reinvent the RPG. You walk from place to place, and the entire time you are wising you had an airship. Third person camera angels that remind me of resident evil directors cut. The enemies attack you at any time. You don’t enter a battle screen. It is like ff12 but I the one you control the character. For those of you who don’t know what I’m talking about, ff12 you could only move the character, it auto attacked if you had it set to.

Storyline

There is just one story line. You don’t have really any big quest you can go off and do. There is a few small ones like finding a bow and getting certain items for stores. Other then that, it gets boring after a while.

Monsters

There is some unique ones in this game. There is some that are invisible and you have to play the flute while your party members kill them. The bosses have a pattern and once you figure it out they are easy if your on a high enough level. They are easy on a low level but the fight will seem to drag on forever and ever.

Overall

If you like RPG games you will like this one. The only thing is, you will get board and probably wont want to play threw again even on a harder difficulty level. The game just seems boring to me. Its been done before. Swordsman has to save the princess and the world and they end up together in the end. It just seems that is how most of squares games go. The swordsman gets the girl who is usually well off or high ranking. Chrono gets Marle. Jack Russell gets Ridley who is the lords daughter. Zadine gets Garnet. Squall gets Rinoa. I could go on. This is a good rental but not worth the money to buy. I gave sixty and wish now I had waited cause its forty now.

Dont get me wrong. It is a good game on its first play through but it just seems to be only good once for me. That is just my taste. If there is anything you would like to know about then ask me.

Gustav the bear is the personal pet of the princess Aya. There is a set of jokes that the made makes during the game. He cant use healing items or anything like that so he hurts my playing style. I use Aya because of her bow. Her long range skill helps in more battles then one might think. On the higer levels of play, you need a healer in your party. That is a must. There is just no room for Gustav in my play style. I use Edward adn Eugene. Ed uses heavy blades. If you remember what the buster sword looks like, his are bigger then that. Eugene is a healer. He fights with a staff but uses healing magic.

I hate to make another "sad and lonely" joke but really, girls will go for absolutely ANYTHING but us. What the hell is wrong with us?

No no, that's quite all right. I'll take the advice in stride. Besides, it gives me the opportunity to use my catch-phrase, "say hello to The Professor!"

I lol'd. I will never get to have a catchphrase due to the fact I am sad and lonely.
Although, "LIKE A ROCK" would be fitting. I remember that from a car commercial.

If you got lost in the game then i can help. there is a menu option that lets you talk to other characters. ask one of them.

To the other person. You been playing Mario 64. Try not to go off the slide when racing. That just sucks.
