I like Pearls Before Swine and Pooch Cafe. Nothing else in my paper is (still) funny.
Do your comic strips in AmeriKKKa tend to be very political? That's the trend in Canadia. Many of our strips are devoted solely to political satire and the rest routinely visit it.

Re: Any shows you are particularly fond of?
No one around here carries Doonesbury anymore. Probably because it is too American, and thus alienates most Canadians.Rainbow wrote:My paper has only ever had terrible comics, but I still read them. Doonesbury is funny maybe once a week and I actually am quite found of the emo Charlie Brown strips. Edison Lee is one they just put in the paper, and that's quite good, too.
I really wish I had kept the one Doonesbury I had cut out. It was hilarious, and to date one of my favourite comics of all time. But it got old and yellow, and disappeared or I threw it out after one of my many moves from home to college.
I don't even remember it enough to see if I can find it. It was something about the meaning of life and they were on holiday or sommat. But there are way to many comics to rifle through the collection.

The only comic that's repeatedly political is Doonsebury.

This is why every comic needs OhNoRobot. For that matter, most things in life. I hate being able to remember at most two or three words of something funny, or only an idea; sometimes I don't remember anything at all except "something funny".

We still get Doonesbury here, both in the local paper and the Winnipeg Free Press. I guess it's because a lot of the people here actually know more about the U.S. than they do about Canadia, and tend to be more interested in what's going on down South.Lethal Interjection wrote: No one around here carries Doonesbury anymore. I watched an episode and wasn't all that impressed. I keep hearing that people like it, but it's just a darker spongebob.

It's not about a pancake shaped man? How misleading. At least Spongebob delivers.

He is actually a person! Only his head is blue. Apparently it is his facial hair... Unless, of course, you were referring to Flapjack's mother, Bubbie, who is most certainly a blue thing.mountainmage wrote:A young kid and some weird blue thing have misadventures in a pirate-y town.

He's a person, eh? Well, in any case, he looks like a blue oval-shaped thing with arms, legs, and whatnot.
