Hey guys - I was talking with ed today and he pointed out that ever since I started my work term with the company from hell (ie. Saskpower) I have very rarely visited the forums... And I do apologize for that, I really enjoy it here - but as he put it, "...life is basically Wake up, go to work, come home, go to sleep". I did however, get a 5 day break for one of the best weekends I have had in a long time, I ventured to the fabled Craven Country Jamboree. For those of you who have not heard of this glorious event it is a four day festive that takes place in a field outside the small town of Craven, Saskatchewan. 23,000 people come to camp in the middle of nowhere and listen to some of the biggest names in country music, oh yah - did I mention that some people may have a drink or two. For those people who wish to share in my adventure I am going to relive this experience for the joys of future generations and fellow forumers.

July 8 Beer Count : 54 Rye Count: 66oz

6:30 PM : I just get off work because of some lightning damage. NO. My friends are picking me up at 6:30 and I have to get across town in zero min - ugh.
7:00 PM : After several rounds of being yelled at for the only one in the friends group with a freeking job. We are on our way.
7:30 PM : We arrive at Craven only to wait for the next hour to get to our campsite
8:30 PM : We get to our campsite
8:31 PM : We start drinking

July 9 Beer Count : 49 Rye Count: 57oz

2:21 AM : Sleep
5:30 AM : Wake up with the sun (ugh)
6:30 AM : Start drinking and cook some breakfast dogs(we have a problem)
12:00 AM : Walk around and meet the neighbours
8:00 PM : See Williams and Ree at the beer gardens (look them up, good comedy act)

July 10 Beer Count : 36 Rye Count: 45oz

3:00 AM : Sleep
5:30 AM : Wake up with the sun (again!)
7:00 AM : Start drinking and eat... we have a serious problem
3:30 PM : Go to grandstage and see Williams and Ree, Charlie Daniels Band (Devil went down to Georgia, OH MY GOD) Kelly Pickler and Tailor Swift - AMAZING

July 11 Beer Count : 22 Rye Count: 21oz

2:00 AM : Sleep
5:30 AM : CHRIST ALMIGHTY WHY IS THE SUN UP
6:30 AM : Eat and drink... you probably get the point
8:00 PM : Go see Rodney Atkins, say screw it to Clint Black ( it was realy, realy realy cold)
12:00 PM: WARNING ADULT CONTENT (this was ... well - just great)

July 12 Beer Count : 22 Rye Count: 0 oz (Hear by known as the best day of my life)

3:00 AM : Sleep
5:30 AM : Wake
5:31 AM : Start drinking (my buddy handed me a beer as I opened my tent)
8:00 AM : Eat and be joined by our 50 year old neighbors for our beerdarts games (if you need an explination of beer darts - ask and ye shall recieve)
7:00 PM : Go see Billy Ray Cirrus (Bad performer, but has a hot daughter) and George Straight - CHRIST WAS THAT AMAZING
4:00 AM : Go to bed and leave back to Regina... so ending the best days of my life...


HIGHLIGHTS : Seeing roughly 300 portapotties that were nocked over the last night
Playing drinking games with a 50 year old couple (who had some skillz - that just might have payed their billz)
Our walks through Iraq (the 'general camping' - people just show up and stake out their own spots... about 18k people who are only their for alcohol... last year about 4,000 couches were left and the clean up took 3 weeks...
Seeing a Mountie get jumped by drunks and one guy run off with his hat
and the best of all - SHAKING CHARLIE DANIELS HAND
