I never really understood the difference. Or, I guess I should say, with my work experience, the difference is negligible. I mean, a resume I would give for a career or one I'd give to, say, a retailer would obviously be different.
That said, I don't have a lengthy list of career-like qualifications, so my CV and resume are identical.
I've applied for some jobs that say CV, and some that say resume. These are poli-sci/social justice type jobs though, if that applies.

I would say those would be more likely to need a CV but honestly I have no idea. This is my first job ever and I probably won't be looking around for a while, so I'm not the most reliable source of information. I have been told that they are different, though.

It's more effective if you pronounce it tabernak, otherwise you're just an Anglophone trying to swear in French (Quebecois are cruel). You might also want to try maudit (damn) and viarge (I think it's some kind of reference to the Virgin Mary) if you ever find yourselves wanting to swear in Quebec.

In France some good words to use might be merde (shit), zut (damn), salaud or bâtard (bastard), trou de col (asshole) and con (idiot).
