So is Cirtur, but I wasn't gonna say anything until you started bagging out on my family.

The surname Bergutfish refers to the brewer's practice of Fishchurning, in which fish (frequently Dace) were released into the unfinished liquor in order to use up dissolved oxygen faster and encourage fermentation. Fish used in this manner were valued for their flesh, which took on the flavor of the liquor. Another effect of the process is the characteristic distended stomach of the fish. This is the origin of the term Beer Gut Fish, of which Bergutfish is a corruption.
Police said they spent some time working out if they could charge the man with being armed with a weapon, as technically he was armed with part of a fish.

I assume you made that up? I can't find any indication of it anywhere else (then again, I figured Bergutfish was an actual last name, which doesn't seem to be the case either). But I believed it enough to do more research, so well played.

Why thank you! It's always nice to know that my pernicious lies are appreciated.

Thankfully I have an eye for folk etymologies now.

Not so bad. I bought bonbon presents on that site for everyone one year.

The best one was the pinky handcuffs my mum ended up with. She still keeps them on her phone.

So ends another tale of Kimra's family. I hope you enjoyed the episode.
