Re: Lexicon!
I always figured that 'gorram' was just 'god damn' as spoken after centuries of corruption, and not anything to do with Mandarin.
Oldrac? Brilliant post. I am sure Ahmet will be pleased to hear his future. I'm going to merge the Commentary into the main entry, since I want to keep the same stylistic choices throughout. This also means that I want Mage to write a personal commentary on his as well. I'm also going to edit the post to make it clear that you're talking about Zach in the second sentence, as it was decidedly vague.

I will add commentary today. Also I edited it again to correct your editing. It was General General who systematically wiped out the Spam-Bots, not Zach. Also, he set up the E.C.B. to prevent them from getting in again. Zach the magnificent has more important matters to attend to, you know!Edminster wrote:This also means that I want Mage to write a personal commentary on his as well. I seem to have missed that we are supposed to start at A. I knew we were supposed to do one from each letter, but I didn't know it was in order. What should be done?

Re: Lexicon!
I'm going to leave it stand, but there is a fundamental flaw in it that I will address in the entry itself. As for consequences of writing out of turn, you'll just have to come up with something starting with 'A' when we hit the letter 'S'.

I knew better than to try and do one about myself. Also, PIG IRON?
I predicted an article being written about me. Alas, the x was only put in because I couldn't get AHMETRock validated. or AHMETRock the ChitChatBox King. So I gave up.

Still waiting on the entry from diode_dirigible, since AHMETxRock finally finished his. If you're stuck for a topic, may I suggest 'Acclimatisation of Newcomers' or possibly the 'Accusation Treaty'?

I've been reading some of these again, and it looks like there are some vague details that can already be tied together. I would like to say that this could be VERY awesome or very aweful, depending on how much attention we pay to these fellow posts. I'm going to add 36% more originality to my next topic.

Re: Lexicon!
Well, the entire project depends on everyone treating all of the entries as absolute fact. It is absolutely imperative that you read every entry to make sure that you do not contradict anything already written, elsewise these dominoes will fall like a house of cards.
As it stands, I'm uncomfortable with how much the ACV entry seems to contradict the events set out in the Apostasy Trials of 2051-2052. Fortunately, the ACV were limited to on-forum activity whereas the Trials were primarily conducted in the Real World.

Re: Lexicon!
I'm kind of picturing the forum AS a world though. Hence why all of the sub-forums are cities in my article. Zach is a god and he created a world called "The Forum." See what I'm getting at?

Yeah I jumped on MM's idea too when I came up with the Apostasy Trials, though it could be interpreted as an entirely internet-based scenario (execution = ban and deletion of account).

Re: Lexicon!
That doesn't necessarily contradict, though. It could be that SMB City was ruled by the Forums, with separate districts being presided over by the Subsections. While that's a far cry from an entire world, it still fits nicely. Or, you could go ahead and say that after SMB City was destroyed, an artificial planetoid was created that fulfills essentially the same role.
Man, the more I think about it the more I love the hybrid Planetoid/Forum concept.
Also, I finally got around to streamlining the rules, as well as getting a scoring system cobbled together.

I really like the factions idea though, that we choose a side to write our articles from instead of being scholars.
