well maybe you'll get it one day

Post by Kimra »

I spent eight months in Japan and learnt next to no Japanese. You think immersion is a good teaching tool for me?

Probably not. That's okay, ignorance is bliss. I'm just gonna enjoy that bliss.

It's cool, dogg. I spent nine months there and was never confident enough to try speaking in Japanese with actual Japanese people who weren't my teachers.
Maybe next time for both of us, hey?

And I bet you had fun anyway!

I can also tell you that the only people I know who can speak proper French from graduating the French immersion program here do it despite the program not because of it, so I wonder how good immersion is when used alone.

The proof is in the pudding. Immersion can sort of suck. :D

Speaking of immersion into pudding, I had a wonderful time swimming in tapioca yesterday afternoon.

Tapioca pudding and Sago pudding are pretty much the best things ever.

Well then, it sounds like that year in Turkey I almost took wouldn't have been a good idea either. But hey, time sure flies, right? I hardly missed you at all!

Seriously though, I hate you. Reese's is awesome and you should try some of the American stuff that's awesome.

I do believe there is only the American Stuff to try. So when I insult it, I'm insulting the 'real' stuff.

Almost the exact same thing as tapioca pudding.
You can pretty much make it any flavour you want.

I only know what Tapioca is because of this movie.*

I had tapioca with bubble tea the other day 'cause I accidentally walked into a bubble tea store without realising and ended up buying something to look nonchalant.
