Well if you didn't like the first couple episodes don't bother with the rest, the few good things about it seem to slip into oblivion by the end of it.

Because no-one in hollywood can act as well as him, I can see why they'd hire him. And since it was clearly a toss up between him and Will Smith (the only two actors who can be in sci-fi movies, ever) I am sure it will be an excellent film.

p.s. as a romantic I hate many things about cowboy bebop. Like... the end, and Faye being given the short end of the stick* when she's clearly more awesome, and with way more personality than Julia.**

Initial premise:
There are a ton of things out there that can kill people! We must kill them!
Developement:
They were once human, except not anymore! I deeply regret killing them!
Complication:
My father was the one who created the virus/cast the voodoo spell/gave money to the jew that caused this mess! I cannot confront him!
Rising action:
There are stronger versions that are emerging as we become more efficient at dealing with the weaker sorts, preventing us from simply solving our problems by killing. We must kill them a bit more while attempting to finally actually solve this problem!
Climax:
It turns out I have an immunity to the virus within my blood, as my father used my blood/hair/checkbook as the sample/medium/identity theft tactic, but the love interest has been captured and will only be released if I turn myself in! I must walk into their trap and escape with my ho because they're not letting her go anyways!
Falling action:
My and my ho had some super hot off-screen sex, she's preggers with my bastard, we got away, some more stuff happens, the final confrontation is dawning on us, and we think we can win, but they have gathered all their resources to hit us hard, kill my baby that can have it's blood be the cure/is destined to destroy the cure/will become a lawyer and get me my money back, and we're going to all die unless we do something drastic that would hardly work, and usually shouldn't!
Resolution:
Dues ex machina all up in this bitch! Some happy stuff happens, some sad stuff happens, cliffhanger ending because disease/evil/jews never die out, and rumors about a live action movie are started even though they won't be considered in earnest until 20 years later!

I honestly can't tell if you're being sarcastic for him, because Keanu Reeves has a far better track record than Smith with regards to good movies in ratio to bad movies. Anyway I'll watch it no matter what, simply because it'll either be good or so bad it's good.

It's like the x-men movies. I will feel obliged to watch it no matter what I hear or what I expect.

I wasn't saying either was better than the other, merely illustrating the ingenious casting skills of hollywood. Ever since Matrix no-one seems to be able to think past Keanu when casting a sci-fi, it annoys me. Will Smith seems to have the same random sci-fi casting as well. Though I'm inclined to think of Smith as the better actor I don't actually rate him higher when it comes to sci-fi's. But Keanu is the better eye candy.

I wonder what would happen if Keeanu were given crack. Scientific research must be started immediately, send this one to the boys in the lab!

You're always having the boys run out and buy you crack for your experiments. I'm starting to get suspicious that you're not conducting research at all.

It is research! And it isn't like anybody else is having them do anything. At least I make them earn their pay.

Oh, their making Avatar into a live action movie, which might actually be interesting (it helps that I don't watch the show). And they've cast the guy from Slumdog Millionaire whats-his-face as Zuko. I'm now looking forward to this.

But zuko is a pure blooded white dude! This disgusts me.

No one in that show was white. How can I tell? They all took martial arts seriously.

Trailer, if no one has posted. Yeah, it seems that they have hired a very large white cast when many of the main characters were not.

Regardless of the cast, I just don't like Avatar.

EDIT: Relevant to our discussion.
