Les habitants. Also it's easier to cheer "Go habs go!" and not "Go les habitants go!"

Doooouble post!

The Stars are garbage. Tippett needs to be fired. He can't coach worth a damn. Seriously. You can't motivate your damn team to beat a terrible Lightning team and lose 4-2 in a third period collapse. And after coming from 3-1 and beating Detroit 5-4 in overtime, do you lose a 3-0 lead to Buffalo two nights later and lose that game 5-4? Especially after Buffalo had played the night before. Garbage garbage garbage.

You don't seem to be a very happy sports fan at all lately.

BAH. A 4 game winning streak? Seriously, Leafs! You were doing such a good job of sucking so far! They're going for another of their trademark too little too late runs for the playoffs, which always seem to leave them in around 9th spot. No playoffs, and no great draft pick.

At least some of the trade bait players have been doing well, might increase their value in returns in a few days...

While the Stars are falling out of the playoff race. Losing Richards was the last thread. First five game home losing streak since 1978.

Two reasons the winning streak is good:
1) Puts a positive spin on the players for the trade deadline. Here's hoping!
2) We've given up a point in basically every win. So we might be winning, but we aren't getting that much ahead.

Calgary has been my favourite Western Conference team for as long as I can remember.
Though I really like Edmonton this year and have been cheering for them as well. Their team is young, quick and fun to watch. I've been reasonably surprised by how many players from that team I've put on my own team in NHL 08 and 09 (Hemsky, Cogliano, and Brule* are the ones that immediately come to mind)

*Brule was technically on another team for NHL 08 but was traded last off-season. His attributes and potential are great, and his is great to play with, so much so that he actually plays on my top line, despite being under an 80 overall (which in their automatic line making would probably have him as a 3rd liner at best).
