Yeah, I thought about it. I decided that I might not want to teach forever and would like to broaden my choices.
...By majoring in history?

Sorry. It's hard to resist. And, you're, of course, allowed to make fun of your own field.

You're also allowed to make fun of history majors.

You're not allowed to make fun of engineers though. We have immunity.

I removed the preamble and a few of the Rules leading up to this section.
Johansen's Rules of Societal Interaction, published CE1864 wrote:Chapter Seven

Boy howdy, that was racist.

Untrue.

Engineers should be made fun of routinely, lest they forget their Junior High experiences.

Middle school is the worst place ever.

For 7th grade, I'd agree. I liked 6th and 8th grade, however.

To be fair, you also didn't enjoy First, Third, Fifth, Ninth, and Eleventh grade. Really, I just think you hate odd numbers.

I was made fun of constantly until high school, when my violent temper and abnormal growth spurt made everyone fear and respect me, and they could only make fun of me behind my back. It was really, really cool.

I wouldn't define myself as cool, but I was never picked on and had a large group of friends.
It helped that our class wasn't as cliqued as most I've seen.
But then again I never fit anything approaching a high school cliche, either.

Some people think it 'cool' that I went to what was essentially a Reform School, but I don't think it was.
