Don't get your tongue done. I haven't heard anything good about it.* A friend had one and after a few years of having it, it took her a few more years of not having it to correct the slight speech impediment it gave her. If you do decide to, however, make sure you get one that is either plastic, or has a plastic cap. Same girl had serious wear on the tooth enamel on the in-side of her teeth.

Personally I've considered both the eyebrow, and a hoop on the middle of my lower lip. I've had a few people agree that it'd look good, but I'm not longer at a place where I'd consider it (the only way I'd consider it again is if I was secure in a career job where it would be acceptable). Tattoos I have considered. I have yet to find one/decide on one that I like. It may come some time.

Ok people I'm expecting laughs but I'm serious, it sounds like your friend had too large of a shaft in her mouth. I personally don't like the acrylic caps because of how often I play with my tongue piercing. With my stainless steel ones I can tighten them much more. I have no problems with my tongue piercing, the only ones I ever had trouble with have been my eyebrows (all migrated out, was informed later many piercers view them as temporary for this reason) and my labret, that caused some gum damage the first time because I never downsized the shaft.

Tattoos - 7
Piercings - 4 currently, 7 different types, max of 6 in at one time (lobes, tragus, septum, labret, bridge, tongue and eyebrow)



That was me starting to stretch. 6 gauge needle in the ear, I think that's about 4 mm.

Yes that is a picture of that arm on my computer, and I'm apparently I won something. Yes, that is from one of Zach's comics. I used it as display picture (with his permission of course) when I played a Catholic on a game.
