Re: yOU gUYS
Yours is better than mine. My university column was called Dear Tim. I miss writing it, though I did run out of ideas near the end of the year. I'd ask for questions, but they were either too small time to dedicate more than a short paragraph to answer, and the others were delibrately setting me up for jokes. I DO THE JOKES AROUND HERE, ASS!Cirtur wrote:When I used to write for the school newspaper I had a column called Captain Cynical.
If I could go back in time I would kick myself.
It was pretty much the best thing the paper had going for it at the time, and I'd regularly get asked when I was doing the next installment (I did one every other edition).
Then a friend of mine asked if I'd mind letting him pick it up after I graduated, which was fine. At the time. He was unfunny, the questions/answers were poorly written, and the entire column was incredibly masturbatory. Stupid jerk.

How about Mail Fraud? Mail fraud's funny.Cirtur wrote:Yeah we need a new thing to make jokes about.
Police said they spent some time working out if they could charge the man with being armed with a weapon, as technically he was armed with part of a fish.

Man I really want a newspaper column. I know a guy who has a position as an editor on campus, but apparently he doesn't have that kind of power. All the same, I think I could send in random whatever pieces to all of the campus papers because they're a ton of them and they're all absolute shit.

Send threatening notes, then say that you found the guy sending notes and stop sending notes.
Then demand a column for your heroism.

Yeah, the only major caveat to that plan is that I have to stop sending notes... Which I generally wouldn't do unless they were already buried underneath my basement.

Re: yOU gUYS
Well say that you found the main guy, but there might be a bunch of copycat note-senders.
