Yes. It has a good story line. It's considered by some to be the best anime ever, but that;s a matter of opinion.

Fair enough, anime isn't really my thing. My roommate is really into it though. As such I have seen Gantz, Last Exile, The Melancholy of Harhui Suzuki and Death Note. Good shows. Oh yeah and I have been kind of watching Blue Gender.

Indeed. As I agree with Simon. I couldn't even finish the series I disliked it so much. If you like giant robots, I really enjoyed the Escaflowne (sp?) series.
