Re: MAI FAVRIT MOVY YEH
Yes that was it. That is almost word for word perfect.
OR
I can't spell the word correctly and didn't check the wiki-article that my best guess lead me to. Apparently even after all this time I'm still convinced that it's called an Interbanger* but it is in fact called an Interrobang.**
*which sounds like something a spambot would be selling.
**which doesn't at all sound any less porny

Re: MAI FAVRIT MOVY YEH
I remember Duncan Ball, author of the Selby series, coming up with interesting punctuation in his stories, including question marks and exclamation marks with commas instead of full stops at the bottom, so that they could be used mid sentence. Also, he used the worst puns that would always crack me up, but that's really going off on a tangent here.

I think that discussing Duncan Ball in a thread about favourite movies that has gone on to discuss the use of punctuation relating to Italian television might be acceptable, given where you are.Sahan wrote:but that's really going off on a tangent here.
Unless your "tangent" meant the small metal blade by which a clavichord produces sound, in which case, please take your discussions to a more appropriate forum.

In older English texts you find a lot of exclamation and question marks being used in the middle of sentences. I like it, it's easier to understand. Also Spanish surrounds the exclamation and/or question in a pair of marks, so that you know exactly what is being asked.

My lovely lady, who doesn't often read my ramblings on here, pointed out that now I know the correct word for the symbol, it should be substituted into the script.
The following is her correction:
Gino: Armando‽ Your long lost brother has come out of his coma, and is trying to Interrobang your girlfriend!

Re: MAI FAVRIT MOVY YEH
Just saw District 9 - I was expecting it to be amazing, so also at the same time expecting to be a bit disappointed because my expectations were so high. I sort of agree with SmileyCow's comments about it, but despite that it was as amazing as I could have wanted Loved it! Now I just have to hope that Avatar will be similar in its lack of disappointment....

Re: MAI FAVRIT MOVY YEH
I'm not so sure about Avatar the movie with the blue aliens. Just by looking at the trailer, the entire plot is basically revealed, and movies with very obvious plots have to make up for a lot of lost ground in cinematography and style for me to enjoy them and I'm not sure the movie can pull that off.
The Last Airbender I want to see, though I probably will be disappointed by it. I never bothered to lookup the rest of the seasons after it stopped airing over here, and I'd like to revisit what has been my favourite kid's show in a long while.

District 9 is still not available here... with no sign of it becoming available here. This bothers me since I live my life by movies.*

Why does no one understand what this movie is about? It's really simple!Kimra wrote:He saw Fight Club and then started to make soap.

Re: MAI FAVRIT MOVY YEH
Alright I think we've got a fundamental misunderstanding here.
LR, are you saying Fight Club isn't about personal hygiene? Because I can't think of a reason for them to make that much soap otherwise.
