Re: G.I JOE was pretty damn good
I've watched a few episodes with David Tennant, almost all of them extended season finals. But there was one Agatha Christi based one with Catherine Tate as the girl, she's quite hilarious.

Re: G.I JOE was pretty damn good
The Agatha Christi one was the worst episode I have ever seen. I can imagine the pitching of it.
"Okay, so the doctor and donna go back in time to visit Agatha Christi. And they play out one of her mysteries."
"Sounds good. So you've got like a vicar and everything?"
"Yeah. And the giant wasp we've made looks really good!"
"wat"

I found all Doctor Who episodes I've watched somewhat hilarious for its debatable logic. I thought that was the charm of them.

Sometimes they go a little bit too far. Also I'm not at all interested in giant wasps.

If you see some of the old episodes you would realise that a giant wasp is quite restrained in comparison . But yeah, not really the best episode - my favourite recent one would have to be 'Blink', the one with the killer statues. It was actually pretty scary.

I'd heard about that one, a friend of mine was saying that he was looking at finding all episodes written by the guy who wrote that episode. He also told me that in the next series, that guy will be the main writer, which my friend tells me would be very exciting.

That's right, he's replacing Russel T Davies. I was pretty disappointed when I heard Russel T Davies was leaving, but now I have hope that his replacement will do a good jobSahan wrote:I'd heard about that one, a friend of mine was saying that he was looking at finding all episodes written by the guy who wrote that episode. Re: G.I JOE was pretty damn good
Steven Moffat is a very talented writer, with a fantastic emphasis on instantly likeable characters and abrupt points of spine-chilling horror (commonly brought about through a singular concept or phrase). However, his work occasionally repeats itself a bit, and in my opinion Dr. Who already has a little too much "let's do that episode again" about it.
That said, I don't really care for Russell T. Davis' work nearly as much as a lot of people do, and I thoroughly welcome the change. I hope to see Dr. Who return to a point where characters are more than special guests for a single episode, or killed off in the hopes of eliciting a passing visceral response. I'm hoping Moffat's influence will bring about a more stable continuity, different than Davis' style, which, though I may have come across as critical of, I still have a great deal of respect for.
I like it when Daleks are different colours.

And now I'm thinking about that episode 'Remembrance of the Daleks.' where there where two different lots of Daleks fighting each other. Good times.Apocalyptus wrote:Haha yeah I always thought the gold one was pretty pimpin'GreenCrayon wrote: I like it when Daleks are different colours.
